Launched in 2005, Virgin Mobile is a joint venture between Virgin group and Bell Canada Enterprise Inc. (BCE Inc.) operating on its networks. Besides providing wireless voice, text and data communication, Virgin mobile provides its customers special offers, discounts and VIP experiences in music, entertainment, fashion & travel.
A continual disappointment in customer service. Ported my numbers, was sent SIMs with new numbers, they wanted to charge me for my old numbers. Was offered a discount to switch which mysteriously disappeared. They neglected to send me my first bill and my second bill was $350, spent an hour on the phone trying to fix the mistakes at their end. Every month on the phone for an hour. Do not use Virgin.
Looking to buy out my contract. I've noticed a price-drop in monthly phone plans and would like to take advantage of the new market environment.

Virgin continuously has raised the fees, and when I switched over to a new phone they forced me to discontinue my previous plan (at $25 back in 2015, a plan that I'd been on for 3.5 years when they made me switch) because they "no longer even offered it". As a result my plan then went up to the next lowest plan for a similar package, at $40/month, and now I'm at $48. But then there's extra fees for calling, data overage.. which is all pretty standard. But even though I've set up overage limit warnings I never get them so I don't know what's coming. Whenever I have an overage for calling I'm always completely blindsided by it (sometimes the penalty has been over $20 for 10-20 minutes overage) because I receive no warnings, and sometimes I've gone over my data without even realizing it because at the end of the bill cycle it'll say my data usage is within limits on my phone, but then somehow I've gone over my data limit once I get my bill. Virgin sucks, it's better to not be a member.
They have a habit of changing the cell plan to a more expensive one after a couple of years without notifying you of the change in advance.
